A Medical Office Assistant ensures the smooth running of a medical office. The MOA should put patients at ease. The role involves organizing patient charts, scheduling patient appointments, making and receiving telephone calls, sorting mail, handling insurance forms, billing. This might differ depending on the office – different types of offices and different doctors have different needs.
